KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Michelle Rowbotham
What a night!!!!! Over 20 000 fans were there (no mean feat, considering average Queensland concert attendance is around 6 000). Many had been lining up outside the Carrara football stadium for hours beforehand. The sky kept threatening to rain (and did so on and off through the night) but did not dampen the anyone's enthuisiasm. We got there a little after the gates opened at 4pm. We had seats in the "Heaven" section, right at the front of the stage. And heaven it was! When KISS came on, we had an uninterrupted view of the stage. The sound was so loud, it throbbed against everyone's chest and you could feel the heat from the fire blasters on stage. The crowd was eating out of Paul's hand (as well as sharing several items of lingerie with him-notably one hot pink bra!). Old songs and new songs were played,to the delight of the old and new fans alike. I think everyone was feeling a mixture of excitement and sadness-thrilled to witness such an exceptional concert (the best of any we have ever seen in Brisbane and they have ALL been out of this world!) but down at heart that this would be the last time they would ever have the KISS experience. KISS, nothing compares to you!!!!!!!! Thanks for everything you have given us over the years. We will miss you terribly-you are irreplaceable. Goodbye, farewell, good luck.
