KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Ward Kirshaw
Being up near the front I couldn't tell if it was packed out or not, but the noise from the crowd certainly sounded like a full house. Much louder than the two Sydney concerts. Newspaper said 20,000 were there.

Excellent concert & really an outdoor concert is the best way to see KISS (providing you don't get someone taller than you pushing in in front of you).

Gene fluffed his lines again in Rock & Roll, but was OK this time in Shout it Out Loud.

Ace fluffed a couple of leads by hitting muted strings and once in 100,000 years his volume was turned down when he came in.

They played the medley bit again but this time they also added Strutter. Paul asked what we wanted to hear & all I could hear being yelled out around me was Strutter.

Paul's little bit was Hard Luck Woman & Shandi. He didn't attempt I Still Love You.

When they finished Rock and Roll all Nite, they just said the usual goodbye Gold Coast thing. I thought they could have also added a goodbye Australia.

It rained a bit during the concert but not enough to annoy you & Paul commented that the rain, nor the Politicians could stop this concert going ahead. (Apparently the Queensland Premier tried to postpone the concert because it was on Good Friday - just after the religious vote I'd say)

Merchandise was similar to Sydney, except they had very few KISSTORYs left & programmes for some reason were $10 cheaper up here.

To sum up these last 7 days have been the best. Three KISS shows in a week was unreal. Some reviews have been far to critical (Shit Happens) and I am sure all those that went to see them really had a great time.

All I would like to see now is Alive IV & a DVD/Video of the Farewell Tour to come out.

See ya KISS, it's been great.
