KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Thekissman
What a show!

I saw them in Sydney the week before and they were good, not great, but good. But tonight they were just plain awesome.

Right from the intro through to the confetti filled sky of Rock N Roll All Night people were on their feet.

Their sound was perfect, all the pyro, the stage risers etc worked which made it a complete show.

Paul sang Shandi and Hard Luck Woman tonight, where at other shows he has done Forever and I Still Love You as well or instead of the above. During the medley near the end, they added Strutter to She, Parasite, New York Groove and Makin Love.

The sound on non-makeup era songs of Lick It Up and Heavens On Fire (and on a technicality I Love It Loud) was great and they were a welcome inclusion as the crowd went off with these songs.

Some girls near the front of the stage even flashed their hooters and made it on the big screen.

The guys were interacting with the crowd pointing to and acknowledging people in costumes, girls flashing and anyone that was generally rocking. Gene even got a security guard to throw up a fans picture disk so he could sign it.

There is no criticisim or disappointment about the show whatsover (except I didn't get the guitar at the end but I will settle for Ace's and Pauls guitar picks)and it was well worth the money and truly an event to remember.

I'm glad I was there.
