KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Eddie Helms
This was my second Farewell show. I thought that in some ways, it was better than the first. Maybe it was because I saw things that I missed the first time. I'm not sure. Over all though, the show in Charlotte was better. The Greensboro Coliseum was horrible. There were so many people crowded into those little hall ways that you couldn't help feeling like cattle. Also the seats I had for this show were under the upper level. That upper section blocked some of the sound and I couldn't even hear the guys start "Detroit Rock City." One neat thing was the images on the video screen. I am assuming that the band was showing clips of "Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child" and "KISS Immortals" during "Psycho Circus" and "2000 Man," respectively. I don't have a computer so it was interesting to be able to see some of that stuff.

One highlight in Greensboro though was I saw more female flesh! LOL During "Lick It Up" two girls were being rather naughty when the camera turned their way!

Peter messed the lyrics up on "Beth." After the first verse, he made a comment on the Greensboro crowd. He must've lost his place and thought he was at the end of the song because he started singing the finish. He recovered nicely though, and went back into the last part of the second verse. All in all, it was great show. Greensboro seemed to have a bit more energy, but Charlotte is my town! I'm extremely lucky to have been able to go to both shows!

You will always be in my heart. Thanks for giving me one heck of a ride for the past 12 years, KISS. I will never forget you. "The carnival has just begun!"
