KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Tony F.
Let me start out by saying I've never seen so many mullets(hairstyle of the gods) in one place in my entire life!!

My fiance and I left at 5:00am from Philadelphia, PA and drove 8 hours to see KISS! It was worth every mile!! The set list was the same as all of the previous reviews. The band was pretty tight except for a very minor flub at the beginning of Duece. The timing was off a little bit, but quickly came together. Paul was his awesome, high energy self--his voice sounded great!!! Ace's solos were on the money, and he was being pretty silly. Before Shock Me, Paul was introducing Ace as "Mr. Wonderful" which made Ace shimmy over to the mic sideways(heels together, then toes together). Then Ace proceeded to say "What's up Greensboro?"--it was quite comical. Gene was Gene--he looked especially evil during his bass solo/blood spitting thing. Peter, who happens to be my favorite KISSer, was pretty solid and looked to be having a great time. He winced every now and then as if in a little pain. He really picked up his performance the more the show went on. Pete did a short, but good solo during "100,000 Years"-They could of at least shot off some fireworks at the end of the solo--nobody knew his solo was over if they didn't see him stand up with the sticks in the air. Paul said "What a wonderful cat". I have to say, I Love it Loud was quite impressive--it sounded great! Ace & Pete were awesome.

The animated peices throughout the show on the big screen were very cool(The video game during "Psycho Circus", and some other animated thing during "2000 Man". Paul did a couple verses of "I Still Love You" before "Black Diamond", which made the crowd light lighters--Paul commented on how good it looked. Then right before Peter counts off before he sings, he paused and said "I like it."

While singing "Beth", Peter messed up the second verse because he was distracted while commenting on how good the lighters looked again. All in all, the best show money can buy--Thank you KISS
