KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: jmitrosky@hotmail.com
If you are interested in high quality KISS video let me know. We got to the show as the skids were finishing up. The nuge is gone hunting non-whites. Jackass! We were going for our back balcony seats, but some guy named Joe said you can't sit there. He then gave us 10th row side stage seats; Ace's side. They were fantastic!! Head level with the band!!! Lots of memorable moments:

I Was Made for Loving You was a surprise 2nd encore after Beth!!! It was a great Rockin' version like they played March 14 in Las Cruces! When Ace went into the solo for Deuce, the people in the front row were still fixated on Gene and not watching him. Ace, as if to say, "to hell with you then," came side stage and started throwing us picks. After all, Deuce is one of his classic solos and it deserved to be watched. Ace was drinking cranbery juice, with soda and gin? He looked half drunk, but stopped drinking about half way through the show. His solo to God of Thunder was the highest quality of the night. Most other solos he was typical lazy Ace, but still classic. It is hard to put Ace craftsmanship into every solo when you are the only guy in the world with his unique style. That is what the studio is for.

Gene did the eye back in the head roll several times and you could tell it started to hurt his eyes so he stopped. Paul did a lot of onstage banter that was original tonight. For example, he kept the cops at bay by introducing the animalize song by saying, "Don't worry. There are no pigs here tonight". He said he learned a lot about the Canadian language while in Toronto as the Phantom, "Holy cow, it's hot Eh?" Eh is a word we use as short form for "Don't you think?" or, "Do you know what I mean.?"

If anyone reading here knows who filmed this show, or knows anyone who films shows please contact me. I am ecstatic to say that my last KISS concert was the best ever, live from the stage where we celebrated the making of the movie Detroit Rock City on Dec. 3/1998.
