KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Mike Oxbigg
I wanted the best ! and by God I got it !!! these guys have NO equal !... but first the back up. I missed the first band "Peter and the pole smokers" as I was on Tuna patrol in the parking area. Got in to see Nugent though. After reading all the hype about his political views being spewed all over the stage, I thought it would be annoying, but I was dead wrong ! He played his balls off and got me all fired up with his chatter. He sounded great and by the end of his set had me lovin' Ole "Uncle Ted" once again !! Go Ted !!!

....Then all hell broke loose !! KISS the undisputable gods of rock hit the stage I have seen them several times over the last twenty four years or so and have never been dissapointed. And once again they didn't let me down ! They played an interesting mix of stuff which highlighted their whole carreer. Of course the theatrics were killer ! A very cool thing they did during "Do ya love me?" was to have old concert footage and home movie type stuff playing on the video screen behind them. Sorta like a video scrapbook. Every time I have seen KISS, they seem to go a bit further than what I expected or hoped for. Every thing they did sounded killer vocals, solos, etc... Peter did BETH and it was by far the best I've ever heard him sound ! flawless !! I could go on and on, but in a nutshell, it was great the only bad thing is that being their last show for me, I know I'll never see a concert so enjoyable EVER again !!!!!!
