KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Butch Marshall
I have read a lot of reviews about KISS' Farewell Tour, and there have been a lot of complaints about it being the same show, the song set, and them not seeming very energetic. Let me say that I have been a KISS Fan since about the age of 8 years old, and have enjoyed every show that I have seen. This being my sixth. Even though these last two shows were not the best I have seen, I will take them any day. Knowing that this would be last time I have seen them, I know in a few years, I would greatly appreciate being able to see one of these shows again.

This was the second show I seen that week, and unfortunately the last. I seen them in Manassas,VA earlier in the week. Yes, it was the exact same show, same song set, and same words between songs. Except for there was Fireworks after the show. And Skid Row did not play. I do not see why there is a problem with that, and I have seen reviews were people have complained about that. The average fan more than likely on gets to see them once, so I feel that everyone should get the same treatment and are entitled to same thing others have seen and heard.

As far as the set list goes, what is wrong with it? Sure I would like to have heard other songs. But everyone has their own opinion on what they would like to hear, and I guess the majority wins out. They would have to play all night long too satisfy everyone. They all seemed to be very energitic and having a good time.

I noticed in Manassas that there seemed to be something missing from Gene's bass solo. During the Reunion Tour and Psycho Circus Tour, he appeard out of a cloud of smoke. That did not seem to be the case in these two shows, at least from my vantage point. Peter's drum solo seemed a little shorter than usual. I really liked it during the Psycho Circus tour when his drum set rose up and out over the edge of the stage. I was expecting it this time also in these shows, but that was not the case. Also, when he pointed his drums sticks out to each section of the crowd to cheer them one, that was also missing in these two shows. During Ace's solo, there seemed to be a mistake. When he shot up at the stage lights, the light fixture fell before the explosion.

But like I said before, even though these were not the best shows I have seen, I still thourghly enjoyed them, and would love to the opportunity to see it again.
