KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Tiff
KISS honestly puts on the most incredible show in the world, but Sandstone Ampitheatre did their show no justice.

We arrived at 7:30 pm, missing all of Skid Row(which did not break my heart, they were awful at OK City on 4/4/00). Ol' Uncle Ted was winding into Cat Scratch Fever when we actually went to our seats around 8:00 or so. He always puts on a heckuva show & has no qualms about his thoughts on gun control and the government officials who stand for those laws, which I think is hilarious!!

It was blazing hot, I think it was about 104 degrees, with absolutely no breeze whatsoever moving in the air, so I knew that our dedicated members of KISS were going to be miserable, but did the heat stop them, NO!! They played their hearts out, even though any of'em could've dropped dead from heat exhaustion, they were incredible!

Gene didn't play the stage as much, I'm sure he was about to die in that 100 pound armour that he wears & his make-up didn't want to stay on, but other than that, he did great! We got to participate in Gene's 51st b-day, which I thought was an incredible priveledge, to be able to participate in this event!! Gene was presented with a cake, nevertheless, in the shape of two, very large breasts, in which he bit the nipple off of one and threw the rest into the crowd!!! It was great!! Paul was as active as ever, and also did a solo rendition of "I still love you", which he didn't do at OK City, so that was a pleasant surpirse. Ace whaled, Peter drummed his heart out and looked like he was genuinely enjoying himself, they all looked great, performed great, and what can I say, it was KISS!!!! The Sandstone stage was so small, they really had to scale down their show, which was disappointing, inside shows definitely rule over the outside shows, but it was all worth it!!!!

If you havent' seen KISS yet on this tour, I humbly urge you to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime event, it is truly they greatest show on earth, and they are definitely "THE HOTTEST BAND IN THE WORLD-- IT'S KISS!!!!!!"
