KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: DuckStanly
Hello KISS fans,, from the opening of detroit rock city to the encore of beth and rock and roll all night. april 30 ,2000 was a night of mixed emotions. The pride you feel watching the band that helped shape your life go out on top is overwhelming. it was nothing to see grown men cry at two very pivotal parts of the show. As for the show,, they have never sounded or looked better. the infamous kiss logo now incorporates both sides of the stage with a huge video screen in the middle of the stage. This acts not only as a live video screen,, but some rare footage and some cyber images as well. pauls vocal range was truly amazing sunday night.Ace was brilliant as always . Gene simmons proved once again why my mother would not let me see them as a child. He can literally look possessed during god of thunder. peter criss has improved immencely since the reunion tour, and is responsible for the most emotional part of the show. The set list was predictable and hasnt changed much this tour from night to night but it will not matter to you. as im sure you all know they have added three songs from the 80's and they go over very well. seeing peter criss play that beat eric carr made famous on i love it loud was very sad,, it made me think of the late great ERIC CARR,, but peter did it justice. KISS has always had the ability to make their fans feel like one big family, but on one remarable night in april of 2000 they brought me back together with some real family that i had soely missed.. For that i am forever grateful. THANK YOU KISS. Fans dont miss this you will be sorry. keep rocking and never forget what KISS means to you. DAVID M.
