KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Robbie Duckworth
What more can you say but WOW! We weren't let into the building until about 6:30pm but Skid Row started right about 7:00pm. They played for about 30 minutes. Even though most people weren't even in their seats yet, there was quite a bit of audience participation. Next was Ted Nugent. What more can I say? Ted is Ted. From the moment he got on stage until the last song it was 110% energy. He played for about 50 minutes. I don't want to go into the set list because #1 I don't want to ruin it for you when you go to see them and #2 I forgot the order of songs and what was played for the most part. About 10 minutes before Kiss started, a black tapestry with KISS in bold silver letters was dropped in front of the stage. This got the croud going. Kiss came out with a bang. They were lowered from the top of the stage on a platform and went right into Detroit Rock City. They really played the crowd, especially Paul. He thanked everyone for the support over the years and said if it wastn't for all of us, they wouldn't be here today.

I have never seen the Pan American Center (where KISS played in Las Cruces) this full. I was impressed with they way that KISS also played many songs I didn't expect. Lick it up, Heavens on fire, I was made for lovin you, Into the void, I love it loud, just to name a few. The stage was different than the reunion tour stage. The tv screen behind them was smaller and they had screens on the sides of the stage for the people on the sides to see. Paul even flies over the audience to a stage on the floor during Love Gun. Same ol tricks that never get old were done like: Breathing fire, spitting blood, flying to the rafters, Ace's flying and smoking guitar, and Ace's fireworks. I don't want to ruin it for you all so I'll stop there and let you experience the magic for yourselves. All in all it was the best KISS concert I have ever seen.
