KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Trey Culler
Well, what can I say about the night of March 17th except that it was the greatest freakin night of my life!!! To start off me and my mom(who by the night's end really love the concert as much as I did)arrived from our hotel at Mandalay Bay at 5:45 pm and spend our time looking around the place. We even checked out the House of Blues-which was very cool. At 6:30 pm, the doors of the Event Center opened and me and mom got our shirts and stuff and we went to our seats. Then at 7 pm the show started with Skid Row minus their guitarist who twisted his ankle but the band played on and did pretty well with classics like 18 and life and Youth gone wild. Then at 8pm Uncle Ted Nugent came on and for nearly and hour, had the joint jumpin with Cat Scratch Fever and Stranglehold amongst other Ted classics. Then at 9pm, the lights dimmed and that pre-start hum came on(and vibrated the place-which is a good thing)the old and lovable war cry-ALL RIGHT LAS VEGAS-YOU WANTED THE BEST, YOU GOT THE BEST-THE HOTTEST BAND IN THE WORLD-KISS!!!!!!!!!(after the four gods of thunder & rock-n-roll were lowered by platform)and Detroit Rock City started a great 2 and a 1/2 hour concert. All four members were in prime 200% percent rockin form and in great spirits that night with all of them interacting with the audinence-from Ace's smokin solo to Gene's solo and fire breathing to Paul's singin of Love Gun from his harness perch which was about 5 rows from where I was sitting. But all-in-all, the show stopped being a concert and started being a full blown party by show's end with a full confettied Rock-N-Roll All Nite(place looked like a snow globe which was very cool). What my mom loved the most was the great CAT MAN Peter singin the very immortal-BETH(which I loved cause Peter livened the song up)during the encore. Like I said-the greatest nite of my life and I hope to see them all again before the tour ends, but one thing is certain-KISS IS ETERNAL AND THE LEGENDS WILL NEVER DIE!!!!!!!!!!!! ROCK ON FELLOW KISS ARMY MEMBERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
