KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Jeff Starr
Kiss were in fine form this Friday March 17 at the Mandalay Bay here in Vegas. The band was tight & with the drama of this being the Farewell tour their performance was all the more awe inspiring. Particular fine moments of their set were when Paul came out to see the crowd during Love Gun, Ace including parts of Almost Human, Hard Times & She in his guitar solo & Peter thanking the Kiss Army for all the great years at the end of Beth. During this show I spent much of the time screaming at the top of my lungs for the Hottest Band In The World. The fans were out in full force, I found amusing that members of a tribute band dressed & looking exactly like Paul & Ace (I think maybe they were Hotter Than Hell) received the Paul smashed guitar pieces at the end of R & R all nite. A classic moment in Kisstory! The only thing is I wish they would have played Forever during this nite, I heard they did in Phoenix & Tucson. Hide Your Heart, Rock Soldiers, Talk To Me, Charisma, Tears are Falling & Unholy would have been welcome by me also but I know Kiss want to give the majority of their fans the songs they really wish to hear. This was a great night for Rock & Roll & my only regret is that I will not be able to see these Legends live again. I recommend everyone out there pick up the tourbook when you attend this tour. It is well put together and documents every date Kiss has ever played along with incredible pictures of every incarnation of this band. Onward Rock Soldiers!
