KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Jim
The first time I went to see KISS my ticket cost less than what the Ticket Master surcharge on a ticket costs today. I`m a fan from the very early days and I`ve seen alot of shows but this was by far the best I`ve ever seen.

The band was in rare form tonight. Paul`s voice was great,Gene was in a silly mood,Peter was solid, and Ace was outstanding! The band seemed to be very loose and having a good time. When Paul spoke to the audience it wasn`t the standard raps we`ve all heard before, it seemed like he said what ever popped into his head at that moment, a nice change. Gene did some of the funniest moves I`ve ever seen in my life. The Demon was the comedian last night. But Ace stole the show, he nailed every lead played and moved around the stage like he owned it.

There was a change in the set list. Instead of playing IN TO THE VOID Ace played 2000 MAN and they did not play I WAS MADE FOR LOVING YOU. Also, Ace played part of SHE during his solo.

But the most exciting part of the show was at the end of BLACK DIAMOND while the band was taking their bows. Some how a guy managed to get on the stage and was heading for the band when two crew members came running out (One from each side) and pushed the guy in the back as hard as they could. The A**hole ended up landing in the second row and from there security really seemed to enjoy them selves as they drug the guy off to somewhere back stage. The crowd cheered louder and louder for security every time they increased the level of "enjoyment" they were sharing with the guy.

I`ve seen the bitching in some of the other reviews that there is nothing new this tour and that is true. But if this is going to be the last time that I get to see KISS, then I want to see all the classic things that made them KISS. In my opinion it would have been a rip off if they had tried to throw in some kind of gimmick to draw crowds.

Anyway, it was a fantastic show and the perfect way to end things......sounding better than ever. Thanks Guys!
