The Opening Acts were the recently re-formed SKID ROW & TED NUGENT. Skid Row were adequate, considering they have a new vocalist that almost can pull off the 'punkish' attitude of former frontman Sebastian Bach. Ted Nugent, on the other hand was truly outrageous !! He performed with his new band = featuring; Tommy Aldridge on Drums , and Marco Mendoza on Bass guitar. The Ted Nugent band were very good & energetic. But, I was there for "the hottest band in the land". & KISS did not disappoint me!!!!

I've seen this band Lots of times, but last night was stupendous !! A few mis-haps to make note of were, during Pauls stage rap on '100,000 Years', Paul swings the microphone around & around, & it finally happened, it hit him in the right side of his face!! During the songs 'Psycho Circus' & 'Cold Gin', Paul used an UGLY light colored version of his new Washburn guitar. During 'Lick It Up', the crowd participation was at a minimum. I noticed at one point Gene's Bass was being "unplugged" due to a loose plug between his Bass & the Power Pack. This was quickly repaired by the Bass Tech using some Black Electrical Tape!!!

Now, the other side of the coin, consider this, Ace was in Great shape , he's slimmed down Lots, & please remember, his Father (Carl Frehley) just passed away eariler in the week, this is why Ace did not participate during the ROCKLINE radio interview ..but Ace was a true Pro & knew the KISS show must go on !! Durig his guitar solo, he played snippets of various songs, such as PARASITE & SHE !!! During Gene's blood spitting, Gene rolled his eyes back, and appeared to be into it more intensely than EVER!! Peter DID hit the drums harder than I expected, He truly impressed me, as I know he is in pain after his recent surgery on his wrists. The band was really great ! Please don't miss them, when they come to Your town !!!!
