KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: J. Downs
Let me just start by saying that KISS rocked yet once more. But before I get to that, let me just say a few words about Ted Nugent. I got to the show just as Skid Row was ending so I can't say much about them except that they sounded good from what I heard. Now, Ted Nugent is another story!

I can't believe that KISS would allow such a pompous jackass open for them. That prick doesn't even deserve to be on the same stage with the likes of KISS. His music sucked and sounded horrible. I know a lot of these reviews that I've been reading have had people complaining about the political sayings of Ted. However, that is not what bothered me as much as his language and extreme sexual comments. It's one thing to talk like that out in public, but for crying out loud, there were a LOT of little kids at the show that had to listen to that A__hole! As soon as he started with his crap, my wife and I went out and watched people get their faces painted and looked at the KISS merchandise. As soon as the idiot was off the stage, we went back in and got ready for a REAL show.

Folks, you are in for the show of a lifetime. They pyro was fabulous. The Fab Four were in perfect form and I think Peter Criss was the best of all. He was smiling and having a great time while playing his heart out. He did a great drum solo during 100,000 years that was one of the longest that he has done on this tour so far. He sang Beth just perfect. I enjoyed every minute of it as I'm sure everyone did. The set list was the same as previously mentioned before. All of the flying and special effects seem to go without any problems. I took my wife with me last night, who has never been to a rock concert, and she even enjoyed KISS and could see what I've been so hyped up about for all these years. As the show was coming to an end and Peter was singing Beth, I began to feel the tears coming on as I reminisced about all the times I've heard these songs through the times in my life. I hope others will be moved the same way.

I want the thank Gene, Paul, Ace, and Peter for giving me a lot of memories and music to grow up on. You guys take care!
