KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Joe Apple AKA -Kissman65
This is the second time I've seen "the Boyz" in Louisville and I have to give credit to the fans in that city. They were fabulous. Just as Kiss has said in the past,"We would be nobody without you." Last night was no different.

First, Skid Row deserves more credit than they've been getting in the other reviews. Even though Sebastion Bach was not there, they did a great job. While they were on, the arena was about 75 to 80% full, unlike other shows I've read and heard about. Dont get me wrong, I prefer Mr.Bach, but all in all, they rocked.

Next was ol' Ted. What can you say about someone as "politicaly correct" as him!! I'll skip over his personal opinions and get to his performance. He was T.N.T. (top notch TED)!Hearing all those gonzos' again was fantastic. I just wish he'd stick to middle finger rock and roll instead of sticking his middle finger up at all the worlds happenings. I was there to rock, not to "throw rocks" at anyone!!

Now,finally,THE HOTTEST BAND IN THE UNIVERSE,KISS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I'm in a sold out 17,000 seat arena and everyone is on there feet the whole show,I think of all the times over the years I heard those God awfull words that I despise,"Kiss sucks", and I have to smile!! Let me tell ya, I dont care how old they are. I dont care who says they wouldn't have made it without the makeup. PEOPLE,THEY ROCKED THAT PLACE LIKE NO OTHER BAND HAS BEFORE OR WILL IN THE FUTURE!! PERIOD!!

I noticed no problems technicaly or in the music. Even though the set list was the same,I DIN'T CARE! The songs are like aged wine. They get sweeter with time! Being a part of a crowd thats sings along with every song is a rush in itself, but when the band that plays those songs is KISS,it's the ultimate! This group will be extremely missed by me and millions around the world.

Paul sounded fantasic. He didn't sound hoarse as I've read in other reviews. Gene did also. There were no flying problems here! And Ace, our wonderful E.T.!! Shock ME, 2000 Man,his solo....it all sounded great!! HATS OFF TO PETER!!! His playing and singing were top notch. I've had the privlege of hearing him sing"Beth" countless times and this time was the absolute BEST!!

MR.EISEN,MR.KLINE,MR.FREHLEY,AND MR.CRISSCOULA, THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THE WONDERFULL MEMORIES I WILL HAVE AS LONG AS I SHALL LIVE!!!! YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!! PERIOD.

P.S. See ya in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 22,2000. Keep It up
