KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: John Harper
Well tonight was an mixture of emotions....from happy to sad to being in awe. Got to the United Spirits Arena around 6:30, for being my first time in the arena it was an ok place to hold a concert (nothing to brag about, but that's Lubbock) grabbed a couple tshirts and headed to my seat. Skid Row started about 7:15 and played most of the songs I expected (with the exception of Get the F*ck Out) and the band really sounded pretty tight. Next the mad man Mr. Nugent took the stage he played everybody's favorite tunes and ended his show, with an encore song (whiched shocked me, not used to seeing an opening act do an encore) by shooting his guitar with a flaming arrow. There was approx a 20 minute break then the black curtain with the big silver KISS logo dropped then the lights went out..moments later the words we all were waiting for blasted out... You wanted the best..... and KISS tore into DRC the set was the same as I've been seen in other views and the band truely looked like they were having a blast. The parts that really stick out to me were the video during Do you Love me (brought me to tears, really made me face that it's really over) and the 80's songs, especially Lick it Up because Ace really got into it. It's really sad that this is there last tour, but I'm glad to say they will definately go out on top. Lubbock was a KICK ASS show and I really look foward to seeing them a few more times before they finish up.
