KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Russ
The only diapointment to this show..the Lubbock crowd. I went to several of the reunion shows in other cities and the crowds were incredible. Here they seemed to run out of steam about half way through the show, with at least half of the people sitting in their seats. It made me emabarrassed to be from here.(maybe it's because they don't sell beer at the new arena?)

Ted: Well, after hearing how "shocked" other people seem to be by what he said,I was expecting something really bad..it wasn't there.Actually living in a conservative part of the country, most of his remarks went over really well with the crowd.

KISS:This is not a complaint..musically there were just a couple of mess ups. Peter and Ace seemed to have a hard time getting in synch on Deuce and Ace flubbed once on the solo on LMG&RR..other than that it was perfect..however I don't think the crew will survive this tour...the technical problems were abundant. For the first couple of songs they couldn't get one of the Kiss signs to work. When Ace was changing his guitar after his solo it triggerd another flash of fire that nearly hit Paul in the head.To Paul's credit though he laughed it off.Gene may never want to fly again. They first landed him short of the platform, then they picked him up and moved him forward, this time landing him on the mic stand breaking it.For the duration of the song Gene had to hold the mic in his left hand to sing the verses, and he would hold the mic in his mouth so he could play the chorous...he couldn't have been happy. The animated video clips in the show are really cool,as is the retrospective. Once again they seemed to be a having a relly good time with a lot of puhing and shoving and smiling going on.All in all just what I expected, another gret show by the guys.
