KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Fro
It was cool to see the new United Spirit Center completely sold out for this show! There's nothing like seeing a rock concert with every seat filled and man, did Kiss deliver. This is my 10th time seeing the boys since 1977 and they never fail to give the fans what they paid for. The set was solid -- the band sounded very tight to me, especially on the 80's songs which I thought were very well done. During Love Gun, when Paul sailed out to the floor, a crazed idiot tried to rush his platform and was immediately tackled by about ten security people. I've never seen so much confetti. It filled the entire arena and was everywhere. If you read the review of the Lubbock Avalanche Journal, forget the idiot who wrote it. He was way off base. Totally derogatory saying things like Peter must have used all his energy putting on his makeup since he didn't have any for the show. What a crock a crap! You can tell the writer had an axe to gring. No one I talked too complained at all, even when Gene struggled during God of Thunder to play, sing, and hold onto a broken mike stand at the top of the lighting trusses. After the show, my wife, in the bathroom, mentioned that several women were in there crying because they would never get to see them again. For the idiots who complain that Kiss did nothing new or that it was basically the reunion show all over again, F-You! What else are they supposed to do? You can't do what doesn't exist at this point. Make no mistake, this is the best rock show ever produced and NO ONE comes close to doing what Kiss does on stage. They are simply the best. If you haven't seen the show, do so! You won't regret it.
