KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Pork Chop
Let me just say this........This crowd SUCKED!!!! And the performers were definately feeling it. Skid Row was trying to get the people off their asses - it didn't happen. Ted Nugent was greeted with a thundering roar of valium induced snoring from the dead-ass audience. The Nuge mentioned that he heard madison partied big time.....obviously the source that passed this info along to him was full of crap. I along with about 10 other people in my section were standing and having a good time. Our enjoyment of Nugent's set got the biggest reaction of the night.......everybody else in our section started to yell at us loudly to sit down so the rest of them could "enjoy" the show (a bit-o-irony there). Nugent must have felt the lack of energy because after the first couple of songs he went into cruise control. The mass slumber of the crowd was broken for a short moment when some idiot threw something at Nugent, at which point he gave the dude a verbal lashing and pro! ceeded to "shit a coyote" for him. Nuge then broke into "kiss my ass" which was directed at the moron with the weak throwing arm. The rest of the set went down without much crowd participation........I doubt Nugent will come back to perform in madison anytime soon.

Much to my suprise when Kiss came out the crowd was actually standing!!! Same set list, same everything. About half way through their set the crowd must have started to crack open their valium bottles for a second dose.....because they started to quiet down considerably.

All I can say is that Madison was a perfect example of how a lame crowd can ruin an entire event. If you live in Wisconsin the Milwaukee show was definately the one to see (about 10 times more energy than the Madison show).
