KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Robert Lantz
Man I tell you, this was one night to remember. The show was held at the Nissan Pavillion, a great place to see a concert. After I had gotten myself a beer I, My Wife and my Nephew went to our seats and got ready to witness KISSTORY in the making.

Our seats wer right next to the Main soundboard, very cool, and right where Paul would be brought out to do Love Gun. First up was SKID ROW NOT! I mean I enjoyed them and thought they were pretty heavy but! Without Sebastian it just didnt seem right. Next came the "Motor City Madman" and He kicked some Major ASS with his set.

He got the crowd to their feet quite a bit. Great White Buffalo was Awesome. He may be 52 but he still kicks ass. Well after a longer than usuall break finally THE WHO'S song came thru the P.A. and the curtain Dropped. But a little delay for some reason before The Greatest Band in the World would hit the stage. But let me tell you it was worth the wait. When the curtain dropped and the BAND was lowered onto the stage you could feel the excitement in the air. Detroit Rock City then Deuce and so on. Ace was on it all night. They seemed very comfortable on the stage and looked to be having a great time. Pauls vocals were just great, Psycho Circus was the best I had ever heard it. I was surprised when he did half of "I Still Love You" before "Black Diamond" Paul talked about all the places they had Played in the DC area including the Bayou. Gene was the Demon in fine form. Blood spitting, Fire Breathing Badass.

Ace did a great version of 2000 Man, and Peter did a great job with his drum solo. Man I tell you they just lived up to the legend they are. I didnt want the night to end but I will see them in Hershey, PA on wedensday. By all means go to the show. YOU WONT be dissapointed.
