KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Mark Hendricks
What a great experience. No show can compare to what KISS' delivers. They are my favorite band. I would first like to give a thank you to KISS, Ted, the Skids, and their crew for a wonderful night that I will never forget.

Around 6 o'clock I was at the 98 rock booth and Snake and Raychel from Skid Row came over. I was like "Its the Skids!" and alot of people came over. Me and my friend asked them to sign our tickets and right away snake said "we'll do it now." They were very cool and laughed at my Sebastion jokes. Very cool.

The show time changed from 7 to 6:30. Skid Row played well and i like the new singer, Johny. By the time they played "Youth Gone Wild" the orchestra pit was pretty filled and people were scattered tyhroughout the pavilion. The people really responded to "Youth Gone Wild"

Next came the man: TED NUGENT. He really exercised his right to free speech and I loved every minute of it. The place was packed during Uncle Teds set and deservingly so. "KISS MY ASS" was great. Jesse Jackson and Janet Reno suck. Ted was great, he was perfect for the tour.

When the "Alright, Washington DC!!!" started my heart began to pump like a jackhammer. I have been waiting to see my favorite band since 1996 and the day had finally arrived.

KISS was in top form. The band was getting along all night. During "Shock Me", Ace did this little 360 spin while the rest of the band sang "make me feel better", and he didn't miss a note, he went right back into singing. Peters drum solo was impressive knowing that he is having problems with his arms. GENE KICKED MAJOR ASS!!!! And a more comical moment, when Paul began playing "I Still Love You" he stopped and goes "this is one of those magical nights when they give me an out of tune guitar." It was switched right away and Paul was cool about it.

My favorite song of the night would have to be "Deuce."

What a great show. I hope to go to MSG to see them. Hopefully they will go to the Baltimore Arena. Thanks KISS
