KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Ozan
Well, what can I say? The Hottest Band In The World put on the hottest show ever! From start to finish, Kiss were all class.

The band hit the stage at about 9:20pm. Detroit, Deuce and Shout It Out Loud made for a perfect opening to the show, all classics and really set the pace for the night. The set list was pretty much the same as the other shows, although Paul didn't play I Still Love You during his solo. He played Hard Luck Woman, Shandi, then went into Black Diamond where he was joined by the rest of the band. I still can't understand why they don't play Strutter.

The stage setup was awesome, which was great because most bands usually bring cut down versions of their stages when they tour here. I have to say the concert truly was value for money - we got what we paid for. The sound was excellent, and LOUD! Easily one of the loudest concerts I have been too, and the band were tight as always. They souned heavier this time around, and some of the older songs souned so much better for it (Parasite, She).

Hard to pick highlights, although Let Me Go, Love Gun (Paul dancing on his own platform in the middle of the crowd) were cool. And Eric Singer, what a freak!!! He had the heaviest kick drum I have ever heard, and he is so consistent, a true musician.v After having seen the best show in the world it saddens me to know that it has come to an end (although I'm going again to their last Melbourne show tonight so I get another chance to say goodbye). Thankyou Kiss, you truly are The Hottest Band In The World...
