KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Lawrence Smith
I got to the show about 15 min. before the lights went down. I had no desire to see Ted Nuggent, or Skidrow. This entire day was KISS DAY. The opening song "Detroit Rock City", looked fantastic. I have to say that the volume was too loud. I'm not saying this for my ears sake, only for clarity's sake. There was plenty of feedback moments throughout the show. My only question is "What the hell was wrong with Ace"? During "Shock Me" he sang the first verse and went into his solo. Instead of coming out of the solo and into the second verse, he continued playing. Paul shakes his head @ Ace as if to say no that's not right, then grabs the mike and sings the second verse. Ace is looking at Paul singing, and he's got this stupid look on his face. Several times during the show Ace wasn't even on stage. This prompts Paul to start a chant after one song," we want Ace, we want Ace". Ace's guitar solo consisted of nothing more than chords from previous solo songs such as "Back in the New York Groove". Ace was definetely the weak link of the Band on this night.
