KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Mike Mullen
Kiss was Kiss proving what professionals they are when it comes to the shows even when things go wrong. To name a few things that went wrong:

1.The screen on the back of the stage wasn't working. They tried useing it at the start but it wasn't working so they just turned it off 1/4 of the was into the show.

2.Gene complaned about the lights twice. The first was before Dr. Love. He was doing his talking during the intro."letme see your hands" then said something like "give me same light"then a few seconds later "now". He said the same thing later on in the set during the set.

3.Ace's guitar(the one he uses to shoot rockets up during his solo)shot some kind of pyro right into the crowd. He was playing it,(this was before he shot the rockets off BTW)then all of a sudden some pyro came out right into the crowd.I don't know if it anyone but it didn't look good.

4.Paul's flying thing didn't work.He was on it all ready to go but it didn't move.He ended up singing Love Gun on the stage.

Well enough of the bad crap with the stage and equipment Kiss themselfs were great.I won't get into the little details because those don't change show to show but a few hi-lights in my mind were:

1.Paul sang out I still love you!!I read other reviews that he played a bit of it on his guitar but here he sang out the whole 1st half of the song. You couldn't belief how crazy I felt when he started singing it.Incredable!!

2.I really think the video they played on the screen was great.Sure we have a lot of the stuff already in our video collections but it was pretty touching to see it.

3.God damn was it good to hear I Love it Loud,Lick it Up and Hevan's on Fire live again.

Out of the 3 make-up shows I've seen, this is my favorate one.Maybe it had something to do with my great seats but I just might have to go see them at least one more time, maybe one of the east-coast dates later in the summer.

Regardless of what other people said,I really enjoyed Skid Row.Get over the new lead singer and you might enjoy them a bit more. Ted Nugent was Ted Nuget and got excatly what I expected from him.Good show from him.

In closing if you need to go a couple hundred miles to see Kiss on this tour, do it.There is no other show out there like Kiss and you have one last chance to do it, so take advantage of it!
