KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Suzanne
Well...let me tell ya the excitment my sis an I had when we heard that our local rock station was hiring 2 buses to go to the concert! My sis headed right down to buy our tickets and get us set on the path to see our Gods. We waited in anticipation for the day to arrive (May 17th) and when it finally got here..we were ready. We had purchased some cheeky KISS shirts and mini skirts for the big adventure. We boarded the bus and watched KISS videos to get prepared. It was a 3 hour tour to get there but it was worth it(or so we thought!) Upon our arrival at the bar across from where the big event was to take place..we were informed the show had been cancelled. Now I am freaking at this point! The band was in Chicago and couldn't fly out because of bad weather so there ya go. We got our sad asses back on the bus to go home. Our tickets were to be good for the following nite. We went home...sad I must say.

Day 2: We boarded the bus again..not as excited per we were wondering if it was really gonna happen. Finally arrived at the same bar we had been the nite before and found out all was good to go. Now we are pumped! I have spared you alot of the details as this is already becoming quite lengthy..However...the show was well worth the torture of the bus rides. Paul was looking delicious, Gene was...well you know Gene, Peter was happy and Ace (my personal God) was right on target! I was thrilled when Ace broke in to 2000 Man. Ace actually sang several songs and it was great! They all seemed to be happy and getting along. My sis and I are in our late 30's and found some pals who had never seen them before so that was really cool to watch them enjoy it for the first time. Would do it all again... and hope to!
