KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Rich
The KISS Farewell Tour concert i went to last night was one i know will never be forgotten. The group was forced to postpone the show from the night before due to bad weather grounding their plane in Chicago. After finishing with the 2nd song (Deuce), Paul apologized and said, "Good things come to those who wait," and I tell ya, he wasn't kidding! They did all the antics i expected from KISS, the blood, fire, massive lights, fire-spitting from Gene. Like all of us, I've been to several previous KISS shows, but not one of them compares to this. From the beginning with the descent from the ceiling with 'Detroit Rock City' to the very end (2 1/2 hours!) they were totally non-stop. Especially moving were the video clips being shown on 3 huge jumbro-trons during 'Do You Love Me' that chronicled their career, from concert footage many years ago, to a Gene Simmons interview on the Michael Douglas show (in full make up & gear of course). And, oh man, what can you say about the 'God of Thunder' performance?!? Gene was cable-hoisted to near-ceiling height and put on a platform where he performed his infamous demonistic blood spitting/slurping routine which the big screens caught perfectly. Their was a really cool animated short movie on the screens during '2000 Man' & 'Firehouse.' Awesome hardly describes this show. Kind of a strange feeling leaving the show wanting more & more but also feeling extremely satisfied knowing you got everything you came for..and much MORE!! Goodbye, KISS! Love ya forever! -Rich
