KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Dave W
WOW! They just never disappoint. The mighty KISS Farewell tour hit Minneapolis (finally!) and it was amazing. I was able to meet the guys in full make up at a quick backstage and got to say "thanks for everything" to all four of them. It was one of the greatest moments of my life.

The show was great despite some technical problems with the main video screen throughout the show. When Paul does his rap about how beautiful everyone is and that we should take a look at ourselves, the screen went blank. Being the great frontman that he is, Paul said, "You're so beautiful you broke the screen! Look at what you did!". The crowd went nuts. "Black Diamond" and "God Of Thunder" were really tight. "Lick It Up" was cool due to Ace putting a few of his own riffs in and not just playing it straight. I must admit that I could have done without "Heaven's On Fire". It just didn't seem like Peter and Ace were into it and it came off kind of sloppy. Of course you can never please everyone, but a weird song or two would have been cool to throw in for the Farewell tour. Maybe "Plaster Caster" or "Got To Choose"? All in all it was a great night and Paul hinted at the fact that they may return here before the tour is over! So many of my friends had never seen KISS before and were blown away by the entire show. Everyone was commenting on how there are no rock shows like this any more. Everyone got their money's worth.

Thank you KISS for all you have done. You are truly the best. We love YOU.
