KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Paul
May 17th would be my second chance to see kiss on their farewell tour, My first show this year was march 17th at The Mandalay bay events center Las Vegas. The Show in Minneapolis had been sold out for many weeks For kiss, However there did not seem to be the hype on the radio or Newspapers like there was for their reunion tour.

when i arrived at the target center, many faxed copies regarding the postponment of the Kiss show were every place, along with Security saying the show was "postponed "until the next night due to Bad weather near Chicago and the Kiss Plane could not get off the ground. This took a few seconds to sink in { I thought it was a joke}, and there were allot of unhappy fans.

Thursday May 18th: I did not see Skid row, But did catch most of Teds show. ted did not fail. he seemd to Move or "work" the stage better than he did at Las Vegas and he also worked the crowd! { you know how Uncle ted is }. Ted talk with the Minnesota crowd {while all the stage lights turned purple nad called us a bunch of white boyzzzzz lmao} and said something like "How about a littel Mowtown sound" and " maybe that Mother F----- Prince would like here some of this mowtown sound"....the crowd loved it. Then Ted Blistered away on the Cat scratch fever....crowd went nuts. he continued, " Prince might even Eat some Pussy after he hears this song" LMAO .

During Kiss may ass Ted went on took some verbal assults on Our gov. Jesse ventura,The rev, jesse jackson,Prince again, Al gore, janet reno, and others. LMAO again. Ted rocked the sold out show and everyone loved it. Thanks ted.

KISS: the set list from vegas had not changed,However Kiss seemed to feel bad that thye had postponed the show on us and all the boys played their hearts out and basicly let us know kiss was sorry. First some items that were different than the Vaegs show. The stage seemed larger, two huge Kiss army banners where hung up, and the side video screens where on. {vegas they were not}. During 2000 man the Kiss Imortals was on the screen, and that was a surprise. {did not show it in vegas} ace did 2001 on his solo, and peter did a nice, but short solo about 4-5 minutes, neither of wich were done at the vegas show two months prior.Kiss also used more pyro this time.

HOF,and lick it up sounded better at vegas for some reason, here the boys were off key and it was so, so,. Gold gin and deuce were awsome, Kiss was perfection on those tunes.Peter did great on Black Diamond, basicly the boys looked good, sang well, played the crowd, and seemed to having a great time.

Flaws: The giant video screen behind peter kept messing up the entire show! after 48 hours in the same building you think the Tech's would of had their shit together! during Love gun {while Paul is on his center Island} His Mic and voice went poof! no sound from pauls Mic, gene and Ace helped out while paul pointed at the mixer area and was just a little pissed off at someone!. Target center security stunk compared to Mandalay bay in vegas, smoke, pot, drunks, puking, you name it, in mya area it was out of control. Vegas had did a great job on this tuff. Minneapolis you did not.

Other tidbits: during RNRAN kiss used some small risers in front of the stage, kiss did not use them at vegas on march 17th. all in all it was a great show!! the crwod was crazy, and FYI......paul said "since we are on our farewell tour."...."Minneapolis!!! we want to come back and see you again"..."can we come back and see you again!!" talk is Kiss will be back to play minneapolis sometime late summer.I thought this would be my last kiss show ever!!...i may get one more chance. but if dont , im one happy kiss fan! Thank you for all the great memories KISS! Minnesota Kiss fan.
