KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Chris Stompanato
The Mark of the Quad Cities in Moline, IL is a fantastic place to see a concert. It's one of those 'not a bad seat in the house' type places.

It's been mentioned that the main floor for this show was general admission. Yes, there were individuals being pulled over the front row rail by security, but it was not due to anything they were doing, from what I saw. It was a matter of some people getting almost crushed against the rail and when it got to the point they couldn't handle it any longer, they bailed over the rail and were escorted off by security.

And yes, there was a stage diver! This guy came from behind the stage, so I'm not sure how he pulled it off. He ran right up to the front of the stage, gave a couple of pro wrestling crotch chop gestures to the crowd, and dove in. This happened between songs and was kind of funny and happened during KISS' set.

As for the show, everything was on par with how it's been going on the tour. The Skids did a good job of warming up the sold out crowd. Uncle Ted rocked the house big-time. Now that I've seen the show several times, I love seeing people's reactions to Ted's 'pc' statements! Hilarious.

As for KISS, once again the playing was fabulous. Ace was write on the money again this night. A funny moment occurred when, once again, Ace was late getting to the stage for 2000 Man. Gene and Peter then broke into a little jazzy number to kill a little time as Ace finally strolled onto the stage to take the mike.

At one point as Ace and Gene were jamming facing one another, Ace lost his pic but calmly plucked one off Gene's Punisher and continued on.

Once again, kudos to Peter. He's been fantastic during this tour. His playing during Black Diamond was outstanding.

Great show. Excellent crowd. Go see this people! This is it...
