KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Tom
Another night on the "Gonzo/Kiss Kiss My Ass Goodbye" caravan, tonight at the spectacular Molson Center. Forget Skid Row already. Ted? Pissed alot of the local Frenchmen off, which he actually seemed to like. Good set, though a little mellow.

Our Heros entered at their annointed time and rocked the house. The folks at au Montreal got gut smacked big for about 5 songs and then the band seemed to chill and put the car on cruise, which seemed to mellow the usual crazy Montreal crowd (I guess no Tae Bo training for the boys on this tour.)They were tight, but suffered the same typical problems as I have commented on other shows, so I'll spare you. I have come to understand that this is a different deal than the Reunion Tour and I should not expect the same "freshness" I saw then, but can you change the set once every ten fuckin' shows???!!!!!! I mean how about Strutter once in a while? Parasite? She? I Stole Your Love? Enough with Lick It Up and Heaven's On Fire. Great novelty, but not sung well and is almost painful. If you must do something from that era, do War Machine, anything else. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

On another note, it is intersting to see how the stage changes from small arenas to giant forums. The KISS ARMY banners are great and it seems like a bigger show.

Overall, an average night, which is plenty good. A six pack will do, as long as you hit it before you go in.
