KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Lance
Ahhh Montreal, fantastic city, awesome strip clubs and the hottest band in the world what more can a boy ask for ?? Skid Row --- same old same old, excellant music, shitty singer. But what more can you expect from a graduate of bottle in front of me is like a frontal labotamy university. Get these guys off this tour and give Ted their half hour, he's more than worth it. Uncle Ted did not endear himself to the Frenchmen tonight however. They don't really give a rats ass about his political views and the old speak English or get the fuck out did not go over well with our French counterparts. Great set Stranglehold as always was epic. Hopefully my ability to father children is still intact after that particular number. Another hilarious event was Ted tearing his guitar tech a new asshole about how shitty his guitar sounded. Then onto the boys in the makeup. Something about The Great White North that brings out the best in Kiss. I saw them for the first time back in 84 fo! r the Lick It Up Tour in the old Forum so this show had its nostalgic moments for me. Ace was the most animated I had seen him so far of the Five shows I've seen this tour. The band was tight and all sounded pretty damn good. Cool to finally see them in a big arena where they can really let all the elments of the show really hang out. Genes flying rig was cool and Paul coming out in the audience for Love Gun is out of this world. All in all probably the best overall show of the five that I've seen, great show, really super nice place [the Molson Centre that is] and you can't beat Montreal on a warm summer night.
