KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: TODD KOPPEL
This show rocked! Recently, I've seen the Vancouver, Phoenix, and Dallas show. I'm glad to say that each show has been phenomenal. For New Orleans, I had 8th row center which made it even more special. The boys were in solid form. Paul was just a constant whirlwind of motion and energy as he commandeered the stage. His vocals sounded top-notch. Gene looked pure evil as he lurked for victims. He really was in polished form. Vocals were strong. Ace jammed on guitar. Vocals sounded a bit shakey though. I wish they'd scrap 2000 Man. It's getting stale. Peter was a little sluggush on the drum, but he had some good moments. It was obvious that he was putting everything he had into it.

The set did not differ much, except for I Still Love You before Black Diamond. In Phoenix, they included I Stole Your Love as an encore. I wish they still did that. I know Paul said that they won't do any obscure songs, but they can still mix it up a bit. How about C'mon and Love Me instead of Do You Love Me? Strutter, Hotter Than Hell or Rock Bottom would be cool. Psycho Circus, and Lick it Up have actually were a couple of highlights. Cold Gin and Black Diamond are worth mentioning as well. The bottom line though, is that everyone in New Orleans got their money's worth. KISS are pure professionals and true masters of their art. I'm not sure where my next show will be.
