KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Glenn Beatty
My girlfriend had never been to a concert before, so i was glad that there were 2 warm up bands (to give her something to compare KISS to) i read another review that said skid row was a wall of distortion, i don`t agree, the vocals were clearly heard and thats about the best way to judge. the new singer did pretty good, but i do wish s. bach was there instead. Ted is the man, a very tight 3 piece band...good to see Tommy Aldridge (whitesnake and pat travers) on drums again, he kicked ass, very fun to watch. I loved Ted Nugent, my girlfriend loved Ted Nugent, yea...he was political, and egotistical, but what do you expect from the "Alpha Supreme Male"as he calls himself, he ROCKS! After that we left, cause it was getting late. (JUST KIDDING) After that, the band that we drove from coos bay or. (a nine hour drive each way) to see...KISS. they have been re- inventing live shows and stage theatrics since before my girlfriend was born, and keep getting better. If you go to a major concert anywhere, and see something cool...it was taken from, or inspired by something KISS did. Wether you like them or not, if you want to have a great time and be entertained, go see KISS. I don`t want to tell you what songs, how long they played, or all the surprises i saw, if you don`t know, your mind will be more open for them to do there job... Entertain You. if you are in the age range of 6-60(which was about the range at the oakland show) go see KISS. They are NOT the best musicians in the world, but they ARE the best entertainers...i miss `em already!
