KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Dave
I missed Skid Row so I have no comments.

Ted Nugent put on a great show and he can still really play that guitar. It was also great seeing Tommy Aldridge on drums. He is intense and puts his heart and soul into every drum part. I know some were probably taken back by Ted's conservative views, but for me I had no problems with it. In the late 60's all we got was the views from the left slammed down our throat by practically all the big bands of the day. So Ted spouting out his views gives the other side a little equal time for once. Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein, Gray Davis "KISS MY ASS" -- Ted is right on. OK, I will get off my soap box and get to what is important... KISS

Wow, what a way to go out. They really put on one of the best shows I have seen from them through the years. The pyro was excellent and Pauls singing was in top form. He was hitting all the high notes strong and clear. Ace was in good form however, the guitar solo was a little more sloppy than usual. As most have said before me, Peter seemed to be having fun and did a good job on drums. It was really fun hearing the original line up do some of the 80's tunes and I think they sounded fantastic. All the stage show stuff went off without a hitch and that is good to see. I was affraid they would not perform some of the stuff due to the glitches in Anaheim. During Beth (the first encore) I did get a little emotional and my friends were giving me a hard time, but all in all it was an "up" experience. I brought a person that has never seen KISS before and needless to say, he was blown away and wishes he would have seen them in the early years. It was cool seeing a person ex! perience a KISS show for the first time and seeing their reactions during the show.
