KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Per Zetterlund
Well, its over. Five shows in about 10 days, and its over. What can I say, what a fxxking band, unbelievable. Tonight was as awesome as all other nights. I was in the 13th row, pretty much in the center. Its been hell to get good tickets here in Japan, but I have been very lucky through some connections and mindless spending of money. I don’t even dare think about how much I have spent on Kiss over these past 10 days, but it was worth every yen.

Anyways, tonight, they played the medley again, this time it was Got To Choose/Parasite/She/Making Love. It sounded much better than before (especially Making Love), and they played all 4 songs almost in their entirety.

Tonights surprise came during Pauls I still Love you solo thing he played I WANT YOU!! He did the intro bit, and some of the song, then went into I still love you and kind of mixed it up with Forever, it was great.

What else, well I did pay a little more attention tonight to Erics drumming he does not do the cowbell thing from Alive I during his solo. My perception (and my friend agreed) is that Eric is starting to sound more and more like Eric Singer, and less and less like Peter. It was definitely different tonight, the last Japan show, compared to the first night in Yokohama.

They were joking around a lot, and Paul had learned to master some more Japanese phrases to the delight of the audience.

The whole place was going nuts towards the end, and after the show ended there were some emotional scenes with people crying (me and my friend included). My first Kiss show was in Stockholm, Sweden, in Oct 1984, I was a 17 year old lad, and I guess now, 17 years later, its over. Well thanks Kiss, its been an awesome ride. I heard some rumours from a very reliable source (I finally got to say this!!) that a tour of Europe is in the works. I hope it works out, I might try and make it there.

They leave for Australia tomorrow, so to all Aussies, enjoy the shows!! I am signing off here. Must now adjust to normal life again :-(
