KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Dave Ross
Well...how shall i begin?

I saw KISS a few months back in Toronto, and really really enjoyed the show. My tickets were great, i was 25 rows from the stage, on the floor. The best part was, i was about 20 feet away from the little stage that paul flys to during Love Gun.

As for the Ottawa show, (my current home) I was really surprised to find out that KISS would actually come to Ottawa on this tour, but in a way i can understand, due to its the Farewell Tour.

The begining was really cool, seeing the members lowered on a platform while starting Detroit Rock City.

I thought through the first 4 songs, KISS was not really into it. It looked like they were either tired, or not happy to be playing. If they were tired, i can understand that, because a tour can be stressfull, and also the fact that Gene is carrying around 40-45 pounds of costume on his body.

My seats for this show were not bad at all, even though i got them from my brother, i certaintly dont think they were worth if i were to pay for them. i was in section 104 row B, and during the toronto show a few months back, i was on the floor, 25 rows from the stage, and they were $60.00.

Once the 5th or 6th song started, it seem they guys were really into it, and getting the crowd into it as well. I'm not surprised that it wasnt a sellout, seeing how they've played in just about every major city in Canada on this tour, and recently too. But I did see some empty seats no doubt.

So, enclosing, its too bad these guys are calling it quits, but they cant be doing this forever, and i wish them the BEST OF LUCK in the future. Hopefully we will see another reunion tour in a few years.
