KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: John
The show started out great, being I upgraded my ticket to the very front row, two seats away from center!!! I ended up catching a total of 5 pics, 1-snake sabo, 3-Ted Nugent and 1-Paul Stanley, to top it off I caught Peter Criss' towel after singing "Beth"!!! I've never been front row in my life and have seen Kiss for the first time on the "Asylum" tour in '86!!! Now, about the concert! Skids were pretty cool, belting out some classics and the new singer was very good, but no Sabastian!!! Ted Nugent I was more impressed with back in '88 on the "Crazy Nights" tour, not much for three piece bands, just not the same!!! Now, on to the main event!!! Kiss suprised me by opening with "Detroit Rock City" instead of "Pyscho Circus", always a great opener anyhow!!! The rest of the show was very good, lots of pyro, flames and confetti!!!! Songs were done slower than usual with Ace and Peter than back in the 70s, but still by far the best show on earth!!! Really was int! eresting to see Peter and Ace doing other past members licks on songs such as "I Love it Loud, Lick it Up and Heavens on Fire!!! What can I say, my mine went blank when for the first time ever I got to see KISS front center on the "Farewell" tour!!! Enough said...............
