KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Chris Owens
Things got going right on time with both the Skids and Uncle Teddy blasting through their sets. The crowd was pretty tame through Skid Row's show, but but really got up for Nugent. At ~ 9:15 the curtain dropped and the crowd went into a frenzy. From the first cords of DRC, the crowd was up on their feet and remained there the rest of the show. The guys seemed to be throughly enjoying themselves, even on a Monday night. Ace missed his cue a couple of times. Paul seemed to get a little ticked at Ace's lateness at the start of 2000Man that he finally shouted "Go, Ace."

Gene seemed a little tired tonight, not moving around a whole bunch, nor sticking out his tongue very much. Peter was laughing through a lot of the songs. After seeing them several times on the two prior tours, this show really is a breathe of fresh air!!! Supreme lighting and pyro makes this show "larger than life."

{Laser pointer incident} Paul had the line of the night after some person kept shining the pointer on Ace during his solo. Paul said to the effect,"It's probably some 25 year old guy acting like he is 16.....if you come down here I will introduce it to you rectally." I don't know if that is even a word, but it got the crowd laughing. BTW, the laser ceased after those last few words.

The set list was the same as the previous shows. IMO, great choice of songs to perform for the FareWell show. I am now awaiting the Indy show on the 20th.
