KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Al
Well after spending about 600 bucks for a ticket and plane fare, plus my bud still owes me 800 clams, the show began.

I'm not going to go into too much detail, because I do not want to ruin any surprises.

The stage was awesome. Amps, amps, amps. Walls of sound. The light show was insane. The bass was so loud, the hair on my arms was shaking. My seats were 9th row, center. I was easily blown away by what I saw (This was my 5th show dating back to 1979). This stage was much bigger and better than the reunion tour stage. It was basic in the sense it was just sound and lights, however, it easily took on a life all its own. The pyro was the best I have ever seen! As I said there were many other surprises I hadn't seen before, so I don't wanna ruin anything (I'm sure someone else will)...Please keep in mind I didn't see the Psycho circus tour

The guys: Very fresh. Everyone was 'on'. Their voices also sounded very fresh and rested. Peter and Ace's singing sounded awesome. Peter didn't miss a beat. Ace was awesome, I wouldn't say he stole the show, but he was all over the place and rocked the freaking house! I thought his guitar solo was longer than before. No drum solo. Paul and Gene were all over the place too. The stage was very wide/vast. Overall, it was easily the best KISS performance I have ever seen. I have seen Dynasty, Animalize, and two reunion shows. They looked like they were having a ball. Ace was laughing a lot. Many smiles and laughter from Gene and Paul. Peter looked like he was having a great time. Amazing to think the is the end, when they looked like they were having so much fun! I still haven't come down from the high....

I'll be in the 5th row for Bakersfield and at the blue-line for the Oakland show. If anyone wants more in-depth details, email me at albertm@ynot-us.com
