KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Alf Ainsworth Ormond
Let's get serious folks. Does ANYONE really believe for a nanosecond that this is really KISS' final tour? Farwell yes, Final NO. Its all about marketing baby! This is the same masters of marketing that have no less than 5 live albums with much of the same music on all of them. How many "Greatest Hits" type of records can one band put out? And we as the KISS ARMY just keep buying them. There love of money is far to strong to give it up, and I for one don't believe it. $30 program, $30 t-shirts (Although I bought the $10 rip off in the stairwell walking out...sorry KISS), and what's this....$100 tickets. How do they sleep at night?

Okay, so much for what pisses me off about KISS. Having said all of the above, there is still no entertainment dollar better spent than a live KISS show. (Although I still think $100 is way out of control) This show completely rocked. It wasn't quite as good as reunion, but came very close in my opinion. Gene and Paul's energy is still very high. Peter seemed tired, and Beth should NOT be performed KARAOKE style. That basically sucked. I thought ACE was in classic ACE form. Spacey and calm.

Much has been said about the set selections. Strutter was noticeably missing as was one of my favs, SHE. I could do without Lick it up and Psycho Circus and where the hell was Dominoe?

The PYRO was noticeably bigger and bolder than ever before.

As far as souvenirs go, I have one that that blows away anything you could buy form a KISS both. (Although mine is for sale. Send me an E) 60 Minutes + of digital bootleg video. I snuck my JVC DVM70 digital camcorder in. I had to put it right over my package to get past the check point. Checker dude must have thought I was huge!!

You wanted the Best you got the Best! Go se'em. After all it is their "last" tour!!
