KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Tommy Vincent
What a night to remember!!! I've been a KISS fan since I was 5 years old (I told my parents that they HAD to buy me Destroyer). I've seen KISS three times now, each with makeup: The 1981 World Tour with Eric Carr and Vinnie Vincent, The Alive Worldwide Tour of '96-'97, and now this, The Farewell Tour!

Skid Row and Ted Nugent were both good... Tommy Aldridge (Ted Drummer) is really great. Enough of that.

My friends and I were able to catch a glimpse of KISS behind the curtain moments before they hit the stage, it was really cool... they were just standing there talking, it appeared that Gene was kind of giving some last minute directions.

The entrance was fantastic, the crowd here in San Antonio was fucking crazy!

The set-list was basically similar to the previous reviews I have read, however, they seemed to play at least three songs that I have not seen listed at previous venues, unfortunately, I am unable at this point to remember the set-list (I'll re-post it if I can remember it). Furthermore, Peter played a solo... although it was very short, it was done as part of 100,000 Years.

Ace was SMOKIN'... that guy rocks... KISS is not the same without him. Simple as that.

Paul was his usual flamboyant self... what a showman.

And Gene was in tip-top form as The Demon... he pranced the stage in his menacing form the entire night.

The stage was wonderful... the best I've seen.

And the guys looked like they were having a blast the whole time... couldn't have been better.

I'll miss you KISS... you are the ONLY rock band we have had and have ever had... this is a bitter-sweet goodbye. I wish you all the best and hope that your lives continue to provide you with prosperity and happiness... THANK YOU FOR NEARLY 30 YEARS OF WONDERFUL MUSIC, TIMES, FUN, THOUGHT, SINCERITY, JOY, AND HAPPINESS!!! I LOVE YOU!
