KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Dave
Let me make this clear, KISS are simply the greatest band of all time. They are more than rockstars, more than legends, they are heroes. You can see it in the eyes of the KISS army. Like Paul said during the show-there will never be another army like the KISS ARMY. The fans at the show in San Bernardino were very fired up possibly more than at any other show I have seen on the farewell tour {this was my 7th show]and the band well, some people people say KISS is all show but let me tell you something KISS was fabulous and sounded unbelievable. I am 36 years old and have been to 32 KISS show over the years and probably over 300 concerts in my life and honestly I can say that simply no band is better. This show had a special meaning to me because I took my 19 year old sister, my 13 year old niece, and my 10 year old nephew to this show with me and they were awestuck and blown away, none of them had ever been to a KISS show before. They were on there feet from the first note till the last and probably yelling louder than me. This was very exciting to me because they knowning for a long time that I am a major KISS fan had actually laughed at me[mostly in fun] saying KISS was old and not that good. They were converted on the spot, and I told them after the show that they had seen the greatest rock show they would ever see in their life and you know what the look in their eyes told me that they beleived me. My 19 year old sister asked me why I had never taken her to a KISS show before. Two days before this show I had taken my 10 year old nephew down to a radio station in Los Angeles to try and get autographs from Gene and Paul, when Gene came out he signed my Kisstory 2 book and signed not 1 but 2 autographs for my nephew, at that moment I saw look in my nephew's eyes of excitement like I had for KISS when I was his age 25 years ago! unbeleivable!, these events made my realize that KISS could go on for as long as they choose and still bring in new fans. What the critics and others have said over the years means absolutely nothing! KISS WINS!THE KISS ARMY WINS!, AND THE LEGACY OF KISS WINS!. This is a pretty long review I admit but my words are sincere and from the heart and this will probably be my last review as this was probably my last KISS show, but some day when I'm old and gray and sitting on my front porch and Gene, Paul, Ace, and Peter and all my old KISS friends are gone [if I don't go first] I will say to myself " I remember when it was real" and smile and and give as Ace does a thumbs up to the sky.
