KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Eric Clayton
WOW!! SPECTACULAR!! UNFORGETTABLE!! Those are the only words to describe the KISS Farewell Tour's stop in San Diego last night. The show was fabulous from start to finish. The arena doors did not open until about 6:30 p.m., but the it did not cause the show any delay. The show started right at 7:00 p.m. It was great to see Skid Row. They plowed through their hits at a breakneck speed. The 3/4 full house ate it up. When Ted Nugent and Co. hit the stage, the crowd was his. His 3 piece band had fans dancing in the aisles. He did not disappoint, doing all your favorites from his catalog. After his set was done, it was just 20 minutes before KISS hit the stage.

The KISS entrance was original as always. What we saw from the start of their set (DRC) to the end (RARANPE), was a well oiled machine, their to give the fans what they wanted to see. They did not disappoint. Seeing my first original KISS concert, I saw them on the Hot In The Shade tour with BK and EC, I was impressed with everything about the show. Pyro and video were state of the art. What tends to get overlooked is the fact that these are 4 outstanding musicians and singers.

From what I've seen in the other reviews, they are obviously changing the set list every night. This only makes me wish I could see them again, because I'm sure I would see a very different show. Suffice to say, we got a whole lot from the 70s, some from the 80s and a little touch of the 90s. But it was all over the top, in your face, KISS rock and roll.

The best thing you can do, if you still haven't see the show yet, is read all the reviews on this site, then forget them, because you are not going to see the same show. That's what I did. Expect the unexpected and you will not be disappointed.

ENJOY.
