KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: ClydeMOSIS
Ah, I tell you...first time ever at a rock concert. Rock n Roll boy at heart, big time rock fan. I got Row JJ, seats 126 & 127, great seats, even better than I thought they would be. I loved KISS the best out of all three bands. Skid Row rocked, but it is hard to get someone going in 30 minutes. Skids did try really hard though, I mean, they even had shy, reserved me pumping my fist and screaming a little, and that was a lot, until KISS came on, and then I didn't sit down the whole time! Uncle Ted would be a lot better if he would just shut the heck up and play...he has great songs, but who wants to hear his diatribe? I liked Cat Scratch Fever, but him telling Janet Reno, Bill Clinton, Jesse Jackson, and about everyone else to **** off was not something I think kids should ever hear one of their idols say! At least he didn't miss his guitar with the arrow this time!

Finally, here came KISS...what an entrance! Looking at the screen, it seemed every time I would point at Gene or who ever was on the screen, it seemed that they pointed back at me! I know it wasn't me, but man, was it awesome just thinking that! My boy GENE! I was SO EXCITED, just to see Gene was worth it all. I told my friend who came with me that listening to Ace playing guitar sure beats anything on this earth, and I DO MEAN anything. YOU could definitely fly forever on his guitar symphonies he conducts every night. Great things happened! I was hugged by KISS fans sitting right by me, they were so excited, we both would throw our fists in the air and scream and sing every line, and just have the time of our lives!

I loved so much the lighted KISS signs and the references to the Keil and about KSHE, the BEST DANG RADIO STATION EVER. I loved seeing Ace shoot fireworks out of his guitar, and seeing his guitar smoke. I loved Peter's drum stand raising! But the two best things were my boy GENE spitting blood and raising up like the rock hero he is, and then I pointed to him and he pointed right back! Awesome!

Seeing Paul come over to about 8 rows in front of me was awesome too! I would raise one hand, and he would do a sort of hand wave thing, and then clap his hands together and point, then I would do that and he would turn to the other side of the stage. What a showman! And I am not being different, for I love girls, but Paul is still so physically well built for a man in his 50's! It is amazing!

We were shown on the big screen a couple or three times! It was so cool to know I was on the big screen at KISS's last concert in St. Louis! ME! It made me feel so cool and important! The confetti on Rock and Roll all night was awesome! I loved all the fireworks, and just the show these guys put on was for sure worth the 80 bucks I spent! Gene stuck out his tounge and acted like he was kissing ACE and the face he made looked so real you would of thought he enjoyed it/was suprised by it! Gene would not play again till he heard us yell GENE GENE GENE over and over, and it was worth it, believe me! Paul also decided he wouldnt come play amongst the fans unless we made the sound meter thing go all the way over...I wonder if that was a true reading or if they had it taped already?

Only criticisms, and I do love every bit of the show, is that I would of loved to seen a little more close ups of the boys during songs like 2000 Man, and stuff like that. They all kept talking about how hot it was, and I am sure it was, Paul was sweating after the second song! Gene's firebreathing was so awesome, that was one of the main things I wanted to see, and I got to see it! Woo hoo! I also loved the fake blood bit, my guy Gene is the best show man around!

Paul's vocal range is incredible! Gene is my hero, my man! He is without a doubt, my favorite...anyone got a problem with that??? Ace plays on that guitar like he has done it for centuries...I loved watching the guitar go up in the air and off the stage like it did, too. Peter still plays and sings like a great big monster, but of course we all know he is just a pussycat! I was so excited just to see the boys, sometimes I would look at them instead of the video screens, just to really make sure they were there, and to remember them. All the confetti, the fireworks, the flashpots! Amazing stuff, watching Ace shoot off rockets and blow things up, and Gene breathing fire and spitting blood, and just the other two being as wild and crazy as usual! I would of loved to hear Rock Bottom and Nothing to lose, but why should I gripe??? I got to see KISS, and by golly, I loved it!

My sister told me to bring a camera, and I didn't! Even a school teacher can be an idiot sometimes! Hey, if anyone else went to the St. Louis concert, email me, would love to hear your stories! Thank you KISS, thank you especially Gene for making me believe in myself and dream dreams! You guys really are the best!
