KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Robert
First KISS concert, last KISS concert unfortunately.

But this is by far the best concert I have ever seen.

Arrive at 7, Jets started at 7:30. Very good band, and they only played for about 40 mins. the crowd didn't seem to like them much, but I enjoyed it.

After about another half hour wait the huge black curtain came down with the silver KISS logo on it and the crowd roared. In about another 15 mins, the lights went out and we got the "YOU WANTED THE BEST? YOU GOT THE BEST...." and the show kicked off with DRC. Goddamn, these guys rock. Paul is the ultimate MC. He had the crowd on the edge of their seats the whole way.

Gene is an excellent demon. The way he stares out at the crowd is chilling. His blood spewing was very interesting, and continued playing with all that blood all over him for a few songs. He was cleaned up by the time he came on after Pauls solo.

Ace was the highlight of the band members with his solo in "shock me". he is an absolute machine. And then his guitar started smoking, but he continued playing it. Then he let it go and it rose off the stage, still smoking. He said, "That guitar is only three years old it shouldn't be smoking" and got another guitar. When he shot the rockets out to hit the two white hanging things, on the right side one he also hit some lights, and they crashed down onto the stage. Luckily they weren't hanging down over the croud.

Eric was the surprise of the night. I was amazed how good he was! He often spun his sticks around, and shook his head left and right. The drum solo was amazing!!v Highlight for me: Rock and roll all night. I don't usually like this song as much as other KISS songs, but it rocked tonite. Especially at the end when Gene, Ace and Eric rose up on their pedistals while Paul smashed his guitar down on the floor. Also it looked mad when ace used his 2,000 man guitar with the lights and did the solo with the spinning firework. This song was just a perfect performance in every way.

Musical mistakes: NONE (that I could find)

Other mistakes: just the light being shot by Ace.

Overall: THE BEST!! i spent a bit too much on merchandise (about $160), but it is all worth it. The only complaint i have is the usher took my friend's camera!! (fascist bitch) oh well. GREAT show, EXCELLENT music and AMAZING atmosphere!! the greatest rock and roll show in the world. No, THE greatest show in the world!!!
