KISS Tour 2000 Reviews

From: Rajeeve
Based on the standard Kiss has set with prior performances I would have to rate their New Years show as ok, or give them a mark of 6 out of 10. The choice of location, BC Place Stadium, did not help the sound quality and on a few songs, such as PC and God of Thunder, the band's timing and vocals were off. One of the highlights of the concert was the band's performance of songs that were not recorded by all of the original members. These songs they performed were Heaven's on Fire, Lick it Up, and I Love it Loud. All three went over really well. I was surprised, being that it was New Years and how Kiss traditionally has gone all out on such special occasions, that there was not that much pyro involved in comparison to previous performances. To wrap it up, this concert was not much different than the past few year’s shows. However, given the build up and occasion I left the show disappointed because it did not live up to the hype. This could be because I'm a long time Kiss fan and have attended many of their concerts and expect a lot from them, or it just may be that they didn't put out as good of a show as they could have. Perhaps their minds were on more "important" things like Broadway Musicals, or making another movie, or trying to sell some new Kiss toy or product.
