KISS Tour 2000 Reviews

From: Milt Bazar
It was a cold wet day before New Years and I just arrived through a grueling trip through customs, but this was all ok because tomorrow I was going to spend New Years Eve with the Hottest Band in the World.Arriving at the venue was breathtaking the lines were long waiting to get in.I was so glad I paid the price for a reserved seat, screw the general admission seats.

The doors opened only to find the mob rush in.The majority of the people seemed to flock to the beer garden or to merchandising.I was one of the first to reach the vendor on my side.Yes,I did manage to score 2 t-shirts,although my vendor booth did not take credit cards...whats up with that???

Finally finding my way to my seat was accomplished and the opening act was beginning. My question is "Where did you find these losers?".the opening acts left alot to be desired. After what seemed an eternity, the big curtain was getting ready to drop...I took a moment to reflect on everything I had endured to get to Kiss and then prepared myself for the show of a lifetime...after all i was getting ready to ring in the Millenium with KISS.

The band came out and predictably opened with "Pschyo Circus".The guys seemed to really be with it.I was proud of 'em.Ace seemed a little distracted throughout the night.I remember he missed a couple of cues ,butI forgive him.On "God of Thunder". Gene's rigging(for flying) did'nt seem to go so well, looked as though there was some problem...maybe to many cookies before the show there Gene....And on the flip side Paul's rigging for "Love Gun " almost did'nt seem to take him high enough and as he flew towards my row I noticed people were pawing at his feet and coming pretty close. In my opinion that was to rowdy of a crowd to risk going to the center like that.Security was really lax. There were fights breaking out all over and security was far and few between.

I was a little disappointed at the Midnite hour display.I knew "2000 Man"would be the song of choice, but the pyrotechnics I though could have been better, after all,we won't be celebrating the Millenium again.I really enjoyed hearing "Heavens on Fire".I thought overall the show was fantastic event though local press though Lou Vega was more important than Kiss.

And in closing..If you were there you know the show was great and if you were'nt there....well lets say you should still be kicking yourself in the ass, because you missed the show of a lifetime.
