KISS Farewell Tour Reviews

From: Andy Nichols
Man here I go again. After last night, got up this morning and hit the road again for VA Beach! On the drive down, I stopped to eat breakfast and ran into another KISSaholic that was traveling to see the band tonight. He had Gene tattooed on his arm! Cool! Got to the beach by 12:00 noon, layed out all day and slept 4 hours out on the beach. Went back and took a cool shower and got ready to Rock n Roll allnight again. This time I had seats with in close distance to Gene's side. Boy it is a small world, I was in line to get a drink before the show and I guy said "you look familiar" I said I don't think you know me, I am all the way from TN. He said weren't you the one I saw in line at Cat's music store back buying tickets to the April Knoxville TN. show! I said yes! Man what a wild deal seeing someone I did not know all the way from TN., here to see KISS at VA Beach! What a vacation for the year 2000. The best of both world's, bikini's and KISS! Tonight was one of the wildest KISS shows in my life! KISS came on and everybody was ready, people from all over were spending this night on vacation with KISS. Lick it UP! got to live like your on vacation! Everyone was having a ball, KISS was having the time of their lives. Again it was HOT! Makeup running down my face, as Paul sang Psycho Circus. More bras and panties thrown on stage, rowdy crowd half naked from the beach. What a show from the band and fans! Gene throwing water out in the crowd too cool them off and people getting wild and throwing cold beer in the air across the audience! You know the set list already. I got a kick out of seeing a boy with his dad singing all the songs word for word, the boy looked only to be around 7. This was a night to Rem. unless something comes up unexpected this was my last show, and boy what a show! People go see this show. Anyone who has told you something negative about this show does not know what they are talking about. KISS had again kept 15,000 people on their feet for a rock n roll party! I hope Jeff Maisey who wrote the concert review is reading this. I have seen KISS 20 times in my life. You said in the paper they looked good visually but not musically. YOU do not know what you are talking about! Ask anyone who went to the show last night. I know that is your opinion, but ask the crowd what they thought. As Paul said VA. BEACH YOU PROVED THEM WRONG AGAIN! Jeff I bet you are not even close to being as old, or should I say a young 50 as Gene is. Try putting on the gear Gene does and still kick ass 5 nights a week!, bet you can't do that! So Jeff, you are a critic, not a fan, and KISS & the KISS ARMY does not care what you think, PERIOD! Here is my concert list I have seen over the past 23 years: 1977 Destroyer J.C. TN, 1979 Dynasty Ashville, NC. 1982 Creatures of the Night Knoxville, TN., 1984 Lick it Up Knoxville, TN,1985 Animalize J.C. TN, 1985 Animalize Knox. TN, 1986 Asylum J.C. TN, 1987 Crazy Nights J.C.
